        These were both caused by a 'mkdir' in the installer that had
the arguments in the wrong order. I've fixed this on the main CVS
branch.
        I confess that I haven't actually tried running the installer
again to see if this works.

        (Is this a case of "given enough eyeballs, all bugs are
shallow"?)
