yes - not only is there a way to backup your credentials but it is
highly recommended do so - there is no other way to restore your account
if you lose those files
theed are two critical ring directories
~/.config/ring/
~/.local/share/ring/
copy these to some other storage such as a CD, USB memory, or a separate
hard disk or computer
cp -r ~/.config/ring/ /media/MY_USB_MEMORY/ring-backup
cp -r ~/.local/share/ring/ /media/MY_USB_MEMORY/ring-backup
