Hello,

I have fixed the "issue". There is a part missing for the jk_init.
jk_lsh must be appended to be able to jail an user.

Because I want to use the normal bash I have adjusted the jk_jailuser call
jk_jailuser -m -j /home/_jail/ -s /bin/bash jane

Best Regards

Hello,

I am trying to create a chroot for a normal shell and found the howto:
http://olivier.sessink.nl/jailkit/howtos_chroot_shell.html

I have problems when executing the command jk_jailuser -m -j /home/jail jane.

I get the following error:
# jk_jailuser -m -j /home/_jail/ jane
invalid shell, /home/_jail/usr/sbin/jk_lsh does not exist
enter jail directory: ^C
aborted..

I have checked the /etc/passwd and the shell is /usr/sbin/jk_chrootsh.

I am using Debian 7 x64.

What is wrong? Thanks in advance for any hints.

Best Regards,

Christian Schulz
