[Jailkit-users] Gentoo 32-bit and jailkit installation/configuration fails: can't find ld.so.conf

I am running 32-bit Gentoo.
When I run a root

jk_init -v -j /home/jail basicshell editors ssh scp

the operation proceeds to work until this line:

ldconfig: Can't open configuration file /etc/ld.so.conf: No such file
or directory

now, ls -la /etc/ld.so.conf

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 359 Dec 23 04:46 /etc/ld.so.conf
