Sorry, should have clarified that jail/etc/passwd was ALSO tried as:
[mailto:address@hidden On Behalf Of Paul Brooks
I’ve just installed JK on my Suse 10.0 box and I have the following problem. I’ve set up the user according to the chroot shell example.
When I try to ssh to the jailed user I get the following in the syslog:
Nov 7 20:04:52 boots jk_chrootsh: abort, home directory /home/pablo differs from jail home directory /home/jail/./home/pablo for user pablo (1004), check /etc/passwd and /home/jail/etc/passwd
Here is the relevant section from my /etc/passwd:
Here is the corresponding section from the jail/etc/passwd:
JK doesn’t seem to be actually doing the chroot somehow. I can mv the whole /home/jail/etc directory and it doesn’t change the error message.
Can you help please?
