Hello:
After some reading I could find a hint in the sense that
mformat -f 1440 a:
will not work on an unformated disk (that is awkward since one of the
most simple applications of such a program should be, from the users
point of view, to format a new floppy) and that
fdformat /dev/fd0H1440
is required prior to mformat -f 1440 a:
But, I have not found any clear indication of what to do if one
wants to format a floppy with 2m (1992k ?)
When reading the man pages (or the info docs) I see that the -2
option is only available if USE_2M was defined at compilation, there
then comes my second question, was the binary rpm found at mtools web
site compiled with USE_2M? If not, how do you set USE_2M at
compilation?
Could someone help me with this?
Thank you very much for your help
F.N.
