I emailed CVSNT group but couldn't details about configuring Active directory in Sun Solaris server. They just pointed me to CVSNT manual which was not what i am looking for. Since you have configured active directory for CVS installed in Linux can you please provide me the steps you followed for configuring active directory in Linux. I believe the steps must be same for Sun Solaris too.

If you don't mind the users having a Solaris login, then you can let CVS fall back to using the system (solaris) login set. With this method you are looking at how to get solaris to let you login using AD credentials, instead of CVS. I think the following are useful links, [1][2].

I am not sure if ssh has it's own issues or not, but if you are using ssh to access the system you may need to look at some other links: [3][4][5].

Note: I have not used any of these methods, and have not done any solaris administration for over 5 years, and thus far have avoided Active Directory complications... I just thought you were looking at the problem the wrong way and hope this helps head you in the right direction... Salt appropriately to taste.
