cvs checkout exits with code 1

Hi,
Im using the WinCVS 1.2 client. When I try to checkout a certain module
from a repository, I get the ***cvs exited normally with code 1***.
The cvs server is running on CentOS 4.5
Are there any log files created for a checkout. Please help, Iv been
banging my head over this for some time
