connection problem with using TortoiseCvs

I am new on CVS and encounter some problems when I try to checkout the
modules from another pc. My cvsnt server runs on XP and I use
tortoisecvs client. When working locally the tortoise works fine but
when I try to connect the repository from another PC in the lan (using
sserver protocol) I get the message below:

Empty password used - try 'cvs login' with a real password
SSL connection failed (-1): Server dropped connection.
cvs [import aborted]: Connection to server failed

Error, CVS operation failed

Any help will be fine...
