Chris,
The CVSGUI project
(WInCVS etc) has various GUI's for
CVS on different platforms. The CVSGUI newsgroup is
here:
Additionally WinCVS is a front end to either CVS server or CVSNT
server. Most users migrating from vss
use CVSNT server (which is free/GPL just
like CVS and runs on Linux/Unix/Mac/Windows), the newsgroup for which is
here:
CVS/CVSNT server are very different from VSS, so you may want to
consider something like the commercial support offered by the CVSNT developers
that includes VSS - like gui and a eBook to get you started (the next release
also includes a VS.NET plugin).
Finally you will probably want to migrate your VSS database to CVSNT,
which is what this does:
