There is very little a user can do to 'mess up' the repository;
however they can do things to individual tags and branches.

So typical mistakes I've seen are:
   *) Moving the wrong tag
   *) Committing something on a branch they shouldn't be touching
   *) Deleting a tag

Of course you could say that if you are careful these things
shouldn't happen - but of course when its late before a deadline
things happen.
