I thought the symptoms you reported sounded familiar, so I just checked
the archives. Sure enough, someone else had the same problem, which
turned out to be a corrupted archive file (see
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/info-cvs/2005-09/msg00247.html) It
seems that restarting the CVSNT service may have fixed the problem. Give
that a shot and let us know if that works.
