1.11.20 is the latest STABLE release and only gets bug fixes, not new
        features.

1.12.12 is the latest FEATURE release and has a number of new features
over what is available from the cvs 1.11.x branch.

A very conservative person would probably take the 1.11.20 release.

However, you might wish to look at the features that have been added to
the 1.12.x branch to see if they look useful to you. The FEATURE branch
code base has not had the time in the field that the STABLE release of
cvs has enjoyed.

That said, we are working hard to get to a point where we can declare
the 1.12.x branch as the new 'STABLE' and freeze out new feature commits
to it... although exactly when that will happen has not yet been
determined.
