Hi all,
I am venturing into vendor branches (so I can make Emacs packages
available to members on my team). I ran an "import" and then
tried to checkout and it failed "cannot find module" (yes, I
didn't commit). I then ran another "import" and tried to
checkout and failed again. I'm pretty sure not having committed
is my issue (but I might also be missing another step as well),
but my problem is that, if I now try to commit, I could cause
lots of issues with CVS because I have imported from the same
directory multiple times.
1) Is there a way to check out what would happen were I to commit?
2) Is there a way to just start all over again?
3) Are there just 2 steps to getting a vendor branch into CVS:
1) import
2) commit
or must I also do some merging as well?
