Hi,
We are looking into a new version control system, and I would like to know
more about the CVS project.
What are the interfaces available for this?
We have an inhouse developed interface to Merants PVCS version manager,
which I believe has a very similar command line interface to CVS. I would
like to know of anyone compoarisons between CVS and PVCS - particularly
regarding the command line interface.
manual: http://www.cvshome.org/docs/manual/
CLI: http://www.cvshome.org/docs/manual/cvs-1.11.15/cvs_16.html#SEC113
cheat sheet: http://www.flat222.org/mac/cvs.html
Also, are there options to web browser based interfaces to CVS? I believe
that one comes with the installation - is that the case? Are there other
third party interfaces to the CVS engine?
Almost all are third party -- the code is free, use a client you like or
write your own, as has many before you.
What are the best web sites to look into this?
http://www.cvshome.org/
http://www.wincvs.org/
http://viewcvs.sourceforge.net/
...
try googling for "cvs client"...
