never, ever use Java (opt for C instead) and use CVS.

Really, Greg, both Java and C/C++ have their merits. 
I would never use Java where the others were
appropriate and vice versa.

PS
Other than theoretical attacks found by acadamecians
(that I think were later fixed) and possibly holes
within Visual J++, I haven't heard of any
insecurities, can you point me to a site, please?
