I executed the following command :

$ gdb cvs core

and obtained :

GNU gdb 5.0
Copyright 2000 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
GDB is free software, covered by the GNU General Public License, and you are
welcome to change it and/or distribute copies of it under certain
conditions.
Type "show copying" to see the conditions.
There is absolutely no warranty for GDB. Type "show warranty" for details.
This GDB was configured as "i386-redhat-linux"...(no debugging symbols
found)...
Core was generated by `cvs -d /d2/ACS/arc/repository co src'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.
Error while mapping shared library sections:
/lib/libshow.so.0.9.5: No such file or directory
Erreur de segmentation (core dumped)

Does this give you more ideas ???
