Was it just the password that changed, or did the username change too?

That means that CVS can't find a password to go with the username it has
remembered in one of the directories you're trying to update.  Look in
CVS/Root to see the CVSROOT that CVS has remembered and either correct
it if it's wrong, or use it to login and specify a password.
