CVS loginfo use with pserver |

Hi,
I'm new to CVS, and I have started remote CVS repository on our server (all
UNIX),and I have bought the CVS book of K. Foegel to start learning.
I have thought that I can use the log.pl script to achieve a nice log file
for each project, but I just discovered that all entries are done with the
account name (user) of the server, and not the name of the guy who commited
the changes !
I've saw that the loginfo commands can only send the filename and revisions.
Perhaps it's possible to have this working using the cvs log output ?
(Have cvs already updated the its database when the loginfo commands are
executed ???)
Any comment/suggestions/... highly appreciated, thanks.
