Advantages and Disadvantages of CVSNT |

Hi everybody,
I would like to know any disadvanteges or advantages of CVS running
with the ntserver-method on a win2000 box.
The admin in my compony does not really want to run it on Linux because
of backup problems (he uses Seagate Backup Exec with that cool Agent
Software) and because of the fact, that users can be authenticated
against our local NT-domain. I think, that that can't be killing
arguments, that CVS must run with Win2k. I've read in the archives of
this mailing list, that authentication against a Primary Domain
Controller can be done with PAM, so that won't be the point to deal
with.
So I'd like to know, if there are arguments, that make Linux the better
choice. Linux itself can't be the argument, because how should you
convince someone to use Linux, who first is convinced to a point but
uses WinNT/2k whereever he can, because backup is easier? ;))
If anyone has had experience with such an environment, I'd be thankful,
if he'd share it with me.
Thanks in advance and best regards from germany.
