sorry for the long lines ;)
ok, updated the server to 1.11, and now i get:
% cvs update
cannot create_adm_p /tmp/cvs-serv61846/images
Permission denied
( "images" is a directory inside the current working copy,
which is in the repository and got created by checkout, and there are files
in it. dunno if that matters here. permissions for images/ are 755 and it
is owned by my user )
i verified, by running a cvs update for each file, that the problem only
appears with directories, all files update just fine.
drwxrwxrwt 2 root wheel 512 Oct 11 18:49 tmp/
so permissions on /tmp are ok.
regards, and thanks for help

( just to mention again.. this problem doesnt appear when i update a rep. on
the CVS server itself, as the same user i run it over network )
