1) simply write whatever you want to stdout, so you can see it
in the build log.
I'll do that if there is no other way.
2) Have a look at what emacs/release.nix does in its coverage
job. Specifically, the part where stuff is added to
$out/nix-support/hydra-build-products
These files then become downloadable from the build page.
Eg http://hydra.nixos.org/build/17636523
"Files test-logs.tar of type test-logs".
(The only thing I'm not sure of is, if your job actually fails,
it may not get as far as creating this file.)
It's worth a try. Currently, when "make check" fails, there is
only a link (behind text "Failed build produced output. Click here
to inspect the output") to a ‘ls -lR’ of files and no link to the
individual files.
