When those fixes will go upstream?

I do not know when I'll be able to make the next texinfo release.
Perhaps in the first quarter of 2007, but I can't promise. There is no
way it will be sooner.

Just curious Karl -- what criteria do you use to determine when a
release will happen?

I'm guessing that, for some projects, the release procedure may not be
very automated, so it might be a lot of work for those projects to do
a release. For others, maybe they have multiple changes waiting that
they want checked in before releasing. Still other projects have
multiple versions of the docs (in various languages) that need
translation work before a release is made.

In general, is the release process for GNU projects fairly quick and
convenient, or are there many hoops to jump through?
