Yes, thanks, it works -- with the exception that putting it into a separate 
file is not a good idea, since then the xemacs-command 
texinfo-multiple-files-update refuses to work because version.texinfo of 
course contains no node (and shouldn't contain one in my opinion).

But putting the information directly into the source works at least for now.
