Would it really hurt or annoy if these tool packages each had their own
INFO-DIR-SECTION? And how much work is it to accomplish that?
Right, it is not much work. I recommend sending patches to the manuals
to the appropriate bug- lists, and the maintainers will probably be
happy to apply them, or a variation thereof.
In the dir-example file I constructed, I put binutils as a package in
`GNU programming tools'. The other *utils are in `GNU packages'. I
think it would be hard to choose categories for most of the individual
utilities, since they are so basic. Getting into permuted index land ...
