Problem with Control-M (^M)

Hi,

I have partially installed RCS on Windows NT. When I
do
>rcsdiff <file>

it displays something like:

retrieving revision 10.1.17
diff -r10.1.1.7 make.def
<line1^M
<line2^M
---
>line1
>line2

So, the file has no difference with the current
version, but because rcsdiff somehow retrieves lines
with Control-M (^M), it shows complete file as if
there are differences. 

Any idea haow this happened or how to prevent it?
