I'm trying to use RCS 5.7 on tcl scripts. These scripts use # as the comment character.
When I check in the code, RCS isn't recognising the $Id: field or $Log: field so I get no history
Essentially the format of the file header is as follows
#
# $Id:
#-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#
# File details etc
#-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# Revision Control
#
# $Log:
#-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After checking in the ,v file is as follows
head 1.1;
access;
symbols;
locks; strict;
comment @# @;
1.1
date 2001.03.19.14.55.11; author dburke; state Exp;
branches;
next ;
desc
@test version
@
1.1
log
@Initial revision
@
text
@#
# $Id:
#-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
##
# File details etc
#-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
#
# $Log:
#
#-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I notice from the man pages that the rcs -c option has been obsoleted. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong or is there a workround?
regards
