Ok. I installed liboctave-dev, and, after a fail because it wasn't able to
create a new folder in /usr/... for the package (solved just by giving root
privileges before executing Octave), it apparently worked:

/address@hidden:~$ sudo su
[sudo] password for fabio: 
address@hidden:/home/fabio# octave
GNU Octave, version 3.6.4
Copyright (C) 2013 John W. Eaton and others.
