trying to use malab library for matrix hypergeometric function in octave

I have downloaded the file   mhg13.zip
based on the paper
"THE EFFICIENT EVALUATION
OF THE HYPERGEOMETRIC FUNCTION
OF A MATRIX ARGUMENT" by
PLAMEN KOEV AND ALAN EDELMAN code can be found at
http://math.mit.edu/~plamen/software/mhgref.html

Anybody had any experience get this to work in octave?

(I do not have much experience withnoctave, and is really installing
ocyave to try to get this to work!)
