Hi Sergei,

the idea was to generate numbers that can be used to control calculations in programs _other_ that octave. So some mechanism is necessary to pass those number from octave to the other program. One possible mechanism is a shell-script.

In case the term "shell-script" is unclear: this is also a program, written for the command-interpreter 'bash' of linux. This language is vaguely similar to the batch-language of DOS/windows.
