compiling and loading functions with mkoctfile

I'm trying to compile a crfChain_lossC2.c using mkoctfile. The code
compiles but when I try to load it into octave, I'm getting an
"undefined" error. I've done an addpath to make sure the
crfChain_lossC2.oct file is accessible to octave.

Is there something I'm missing from this process?
