Would a possible solution be for me (as su) create the '...amd64/client' dirwith copy of libjvm.so?A symlink should be enough.Note that I'm not sure what the problem is, it might be a packaging issue. On my Fedore 16 install, the file is provided by java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0-61.1.10.4.fc16.i686 package.
OK. I have java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0-61.1.10.4.fc16.x86_64. It may be a packaging problem. While waiting for help on this problem I decided to bite the bullet, and created a client dir and installed a copy of libjvm.so. The Matlab code that I have trying to run, then proceeded to run without the previously reported error, but soon came unstuck with a problem related to some unsupported syntax.
At least the basic java issue seems to have been fixed by modification. Thanks for your help. Cheers, -- Regards, Terry Duell
