The gnuplot version is using the wxt terminal, and includes a line object. You
can get the same result in Octave by ...
setenv ("GNUTERM", "wxt");
x = (-10):0.01:10;
plot (x, sin(x), "r")
title ("What?")
legend ("sin(x)")
