You're almost certainly using the less(1) pager. Use "q" to get out of
it. You can hit "h" to get help on how to use the pager.

You could also come to the #octave IRC channel in Freenode. I'm there
right now, and if you have several short questions like this, it's
easier to answer them over chat.
