I wasn't referring to JSON's specification but to the specification that 
defines your JSON-based language.  To put it in other words, it would be 
great if you provided a formal description of the format you've 
developed to convert Octave's data types to JSON data structures (i.e., 
in JSON a scalar is represented like this, a matrix is like so, a 
structure is like so, etc...)
