Latex is just about as easy to use as most phpBB forums, just with more commands to use. I have LaTeX viewers for both Thunderbird Email, and FireFox web browsers. They are very useful. As an example, below is a base form of the Chebyshev polynomial: and the LaTeX code for an in line formula is : $$cos^n\theta = \frac{2}{2^n}\displaystyle\sum_{k=0}^{\frac{n-1}{2}}]\left(\begin{array}{c}n \\k\end{array}\right)cos((n-2 k)\theta)$$ While having the formula setup as you see in math/science books: \begin{equation} cos^n\theta = \frac{2}{2^n}\displaystyle\sum_{k=0}^{\frac{n-1}{2}}]\left(\begin{array}{c}n \\k\end{array}\right)cos((n-2 k)\theta) \end{equation} I would suggest to go ahead and do your report in what feels most comfortable now as it sounds as though this is a "to-be-completed-for-the-boss-soon" report, and learn LaTeX as you can.
