Octave Wavelet Problem

Hi,
I want to use wavelet in octave.
Only solution i found that is Wavelab.
I have 2 question
1-Is there any solution different from wavelab
2- How can i install Wavelab on octave 3.0 ?
There is an information on this site
http://wiki.octave.org/wiki.pl?WavelabOnOctave
It is written that
In line 23 set ''/path/to/destination/dir/WaveLab802'' instead of ''pwd''.
In line 26 change
PATHNAMESEPARATOR = '\';
to
PATHNAMESEPARATOR = '\\';
In line 23 i write my directory adress instead of pwd like /home/diyar/Wavelab802
But it gives
parse error near line 23 of file /home/diyar/WaveLab802/WavePath.m
error.
What can i do? Is there any solution? It is my homework and i must be hurry.
good evenings
diyar
