I have:
OS:Linux 2.6.22.9-desktop586-1mdv i686
System:Mandriva Linux OneVersion:2008.0KDE:3.5.9
and Octave3 installed
Thanks so far for help. Last attempt to install this signal pkg gave the
error cannot find make. Since then I have installed an extra 226 packages in
Mandriva using the task-gnome package (and so the 'make' package is now
installed). Now when I try again to install the signal pkg, I get
octave:1> pkg install /home/ryan/foroctave/signal-1.0.6.tar.gz
make: mkoctfile: Command not found
make: *** [remez.oct] Error 127
error: 'make' returned the following error: make: Entering directory
`/home/ryan/tmp/oct-0LXvfv/signal-1.0.6/src'
mkoctfile -s remez.cc
make: Leaving directory `/home/ryan/tmp/oct-0LXvfv/signal-1.0.6/src'
error: called from `pkg:configure_make' in
file /usr/share/octave/2.9.16/m/pkg/pkg.m near line 1043, column 2
Would be grateful for and help.
