Octave download statistics

Hi

Are there download totals for octave? Do we have an estimate of the 
userbase? I think that total 2.9.9 download + total 2.1.72 downloads 
from the main octave site should give some estimate, although I'm sure a 
lot (maybe even a majority) of users use binaries provided by their 
distros (I know I do --on fc & debian). But at least it's interesting to 
know if there are 1000's or 10,000s or maybe even 1e5's users
