I prefer not to build out of cvs - too unstable. Theresa, all I can think of are some kludges: try overlaying the images in PowerPoint? Maybe GraphicConverter on the Mac can do something? There’s always Adobe Illustrator or PhotoShop, if you have access to them. Try ImageMagick. It can do this sort of thing. If you have all the features of the current version of octave-forge installed, you are good to go. I use it to layer weather service NEXRad images using a cron job on my server.
