Uh, then why is the Matlab group comp.soft-sys.matlab instead of comp.soft-sys.math.matlab? For compatibility, I think Octave should also be comp.soft-sys.octave or the Matlab group name should be
changed (:-).

matlab doesn't hold the standards;) Maple, Mathematica and SciLab are all in the math. series.
