This may be a beginner issue, I've just started using Octave as a
substitute for MatLab on Windows XP. I'm using the Crimson editor for
coding. Whenever I'm working on a script and make changes in the editor
Octave doesn't seem to recognise that I've made changes and throws up the
same errors - it does this even if I "saves as..." the file again or close
and reopen the editor. Using a different editor makes no difference. The
only way to solve the problem is to quit Octave and restarts.
Is this a setting I've forgotten about? I've set the EDITOR variable to
the Crimson executable.
Cheers
Sarah
