OK, everything works as it should. Who knows what I did wrong. Going back to
the original script, "automatic_replot = 0" worked.

The only additional changes required were changes for the symbols. The
colors remained the same. E.g. @33 becomes @34, @66 becomes @63, @14 becomes
@12. Who knows if there's a trick so that I could have kept what was in the
original scripts.
