How do I set my working directory?
Say I start with
octave> myBaseDir = "/Volumes/VTN Junk/Octave"
I would like to say
octave> chdir myBaseDir
but that doesn't work. Octave says myBaseDir isn't a directory.
The command
octave> chdir "/Volumes/VTN Junk/Octave"
works fine, but that is not what I want. I want to set my directory
from the variable myBaseDir.
This has got to be trivial, but I don't know how to do it.
Regards,
Vic
