I installed Octave 2.1.50 on my Panther based iMac via Darwinports. In fact I only became aware of Octave from reading the Darwinports description; I had been thinking of buying a new version of MatLab until then. My Octave has worked flawlessly since I installed it a few weeks ago.

Regards,

Vic

Octave is not yet available on Panther via fink. However, darwinports (?) supposedly has it working. I didn't get it to go with my brief foray into Panther; I'm back with Jaguar (10.2) for awhile longer while the dust settles.

Will I have any problems using Octave if I upgrade to Panther?

I'm sorry if this is a FAQ. Thanks.
