RE: How to downgrade to make3.8

I'm not an RPM expert but you could try to uninstall with the "force"
option and then reinstall. This might break something if it specifically
depends on 3.80 (!).

Or check if you can install to a different directory and use 3.80 from
there.

Or if all else fails you could unpack the files from the .rpm yourself
(rpm2cpio, see Google :-) ).
