But when I try to boot the 64 bit kernel I get an error "unable to mount
root fs on unknown-block (0,0)" then a kernel panic.
The initramfs is missing, corrupted or GRUB fails to load it.
Check the initrd line in the menu entry. If it is missing, boot an older
kernel with an initrd line in the "advanced options" submenu. If it is
present, check for GRUB error messages just after booting.
