So are you saying your Linux (you don't say what distro) doesn't supply
packages for GMP, MPFR, PPL and Autogen? I find that rather surprising.
If that really is the case (and I doubt it), I see e.g. that Autogen
supply rpms:
http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/autogen/

Your "problem" is, as I understand it, installing the prerequisites.
Sounds like you have not even got around to the GCC installation yet...
