I'll make another attempt at recompiling it and specify the exact errors 
a bit later, but I seem to recall it choking on libiberty someplace.

FWIW, I'm trying to compile/boostrap gcc using the native compiler on my 
SGI box (MIPSpro 7.3.1.3m, on IRIX 6.5.12f).
