tar: Skipping to next header

When verifying an archive with:

  tar xpvf /dev/nst0 -F <script-that-loads-next-tape> <backup-path>

I get the following output:

  2003.05.31 Volume 1
  Reading `2003.05.31 Volume 1'
  Reading `2003.05.31 Volume 2'
  tar: Skipping to next header
  [file list left out]
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

This is causing tar to exit with error code 1. It does extract all the
files and they seem to be fine. Is there anything wrong with my
archives? Is there a way I can make this error go away?
